Physical education tests for China's high school entrance exam recently started. Examiners used infrared cameras, visual recognition and AI software to assess participants in tests such as sit-ups, pull-ups and angled-pull-ups.

Authorities said that the introduction of digital hardware and software was designed to increase accuracy while providing prompts to examinees.
